Washington, D.C. - Congressman McClintock's legislation H.R.2302 the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Land Transfer Act of 2025, has passed the House of Representatives by a unanimous voice vote. The legislation next goes to the Senate.
The legislation transfers 80 acres of BLM land and 185 acres of fee simple land already owned by the tribe into trust as part of the reservation for housing.

Washington, D.C. – The Proven Forest Management Act, H.R. 188, has passed the House Natural Resources Committee and will next go to the House Floor.
H.R. 188 expands throughout the entire National Forest System the categorical exclusion for forest management projects that was secured for the Tahoe Basin in the 2016 WINN Act.
"Excess timber comes out of the forest in only two ways – it is either carried out or it burns out. For most of the 20th Century, we carried it out," McClintock said.

Washington - Rep. Tom McClintock (CA-04) has introduced legisaltion to offer law enforcement officers lifetime passes to National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands.
"As a small token of appreciation to our law enforcement officers, I have introduced HR 3206 to offer them lifetime passes to our National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands, on behalf of a grateful nation," remarked Rep. McClintock upon introduction of the legislation.
