Washington, D.C. – The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement held a hearing today on "The Biden Border Crisis: Exploitation of Unaccompanied Alien Children.” The hearing was held to examine the unprecedented surge of unaccompanied alien children at the southwest border and how open-border policies enable the exploitation of those children.

Washington, D.C. – H.R. 2640 passed the House Judiciary Committee today by a vote of 23 to 15. The Border Security and Enforcement Act is a comprehensive measure addressing illegal immigration and border security.

McClintock served as Ranking Member of the subcommittee in the previous Congress, earning a reputation as a fighter for border security and legal immigration.

In order to enforce our laws, we have given terrifying powers to such agencies as the FBI, the IRS, and the CIA, among others. The misuse of these powers to affect political outcomes would be fatal to freedom and it is the hallmark of any dictatorship. This, our Constitution was written to prevent – whoever is in power.

Eighteen months ago, we had achieved operational control of our Southern Border. The border wall was nearing completion. The remain in Mexico policy and enforcement of court-ordered deportations had slowed illegal migration to a trickle. American workers were finally seeing major wage gains and the gap between rich and poor in this country was finally narrowing.
All that ended on January 20, 2021, when Joe Biden cancelled the Remain in Mexico policy, ordered ICE to stop enforcing court-ordered deportations and cancelled the border wall, leaving construction gaps through which thousands of illegal immigrants pass every day.

McClintock today sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas demanding answers about alien encounters at the southern border and the security risks posed by the release of thousands of terrorists from Bagram Air Base combined with the porous southern border.

Not long ago, our elections worked. We maintained accurate voter registration rolls and routinely removed people who had moved or died. AFTER all the candidates had their say, on ELECTION DAY, we went to our local polling place. We brought our children to watch the process and taught them to respect it.
