Congressman Tom McClintock Named Chairman of the House Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Subcommittee
Washington, D.C. - Representative Tom McClintock, CA-05, has been named Chairman of the Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee in the 118th Congress. McClintock served as Ranking Member of the subcommittee in the previous Congress, earning a reputation as a fighter for border security and legal immigration.
"Protecting our borders is critical to our national security and is our responsibility as a nation," McClintock said. "The unprecedented illegal mass migration that is aided, abetted and encouraged by congressional Democrats and the President has reached historic proportions. We are all seeing the impact of these policies – on schools, hospitals, public safety, wages and social services."
Republicans in the new House majority are committed to shaping policy that will restore operational control of our borders, provide support to our border patrol and ICE agents and combat human and drug trafficking into the United States.
"One party rule on immigration policy in Washington is over," said McClintock. "It's time to enforce our immigration laws."
