Washington, D.C.--Representative Tom McClintock, CA-04, has been appointed Chairman of the Water and Power Subcommittee of the House Natural Resources Committee in the 112th Congress. McClintock served as Ranking Member of the subcommittee in the previous Congress, earning a reputation as a strong advocate for developing the nation’s natural resources.

Congressman Tom McClintock announced that Community Recovery Resources, Inc.– a substance abuse and mental health services agency in Grass Valley, the City of Alturas Police Department and the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians have been awarded competitive grants through the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Community Facilities Program.

“These projects were selected for funding on the basis of merit through a competitive process,” McClintock said. “I am pleased that hard work and dedication of the recipients resulted in these awards.”

The specific improvements include advanced water treatment technology options (filtration system replacement) and modifications to the existing facility.
