Washington, D.C. – An amendment authored by Congressman McClintock and a bi-partisan amendment co-authored with Congressman Jared Huffman have been adopted by the House of Representatives to H.R. 2685 - FY16 Department of Defense Appropriations Act.
Congressman McClintock introduced an amendment to H.R. 2577 - FY16 Transportation, Housing & Urban Development Appropriations Act to eliminate funding for the "Essential Air Service" program. The amendment was defeated by a vote of 166 to 255.
3/26/2015 - HR 2 – Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act: NO. In 1997, Congress passed legislation to control Medicare spending by establishing a "Sustainable Growth Rate" (SGR) that limits the annual increase for physician reimbursements, but Congress never had the stomach to actually implement it.
